How do I play?
Albertsons Preferred Rewards Bingo Sweepstakes™ is fun and easy. Here's what you need to do:

  • Register at this website with your NEW Preferred Rewards Card and confirm your registration via email.
  • Receive a daily email with a link to your bingo cards. This email is sent to you at about 4AM PT the morning of the daily game. Click on the link in the email to print or view your bingo cards.
  • Watch the animated bingo balls drop during programming on Univision Channel 17 Despierta América at 6:30 AM (the daily number can also be viewed online immediately after they air on television)
  • If the dropped balls make a "bingo" on your card (vertical, horizontal or diagonal), return to this website, click the I Think I Won! tab and enter the 10-character code below your bingo card by 11:59 PM PT on the day the game was played. If it's deemed to be a valid bingo, your Preferred Rewards card will be credited with 25,000 Preferred Rewards Points (worth $25 toward groceries) within 7 days.
  • In addition to the game and daily prizes described above, all players who successfully register for the game are automatically entered into a drawing held on or about September 30, 2011 for A Year of FREE Groceries (Paid as 52, $100 Albertsons Gift Cards).

Important: you cannot register and play on the same day. For example, if you join the game on a Monday you will receive your first bingo cards via email on Tuesday morning. Once you've successfully registered there's no need to re-register. We will send you bingo card emails for the duration of the promotion period unless/until you choose to unsubscribe from the game.

No purchase necessary. You must be 18 or older to play. You MUST have a NEW Albertsons Preferred Rewards Card to play. Click here to read the Official Rules of Albertsons Preferred Rewards Bingo Sweepstakes.

What is a NEW Albertsons Preferred Rewards card?
Albertsons is pleased to be offering a new card that actually rewards your loyalty by allowing you to earn points for purchases. This game is a promotion to help us launch the NEW card. You must have a card that looks like the NEW card below to play and win. To obtain a NEW Albertsons Preferred reward card FREE of charge visit any participating Albertsons location.

Examples of Albertsons Preferred Card

New Card - Yes! Old Card - No

I entered the game with an OLD Albertsons card. What do I do?
The game will allow you to register with an old Albertsons card number, but unfortunately, you can NEVER win with an old Albertsons card number. (You might score a Bingo, but we will NOT be able to award the points to an old card.) To play and win you must enter with a NEW Albertsons Card number. (See picture of a NEW Albertsons Card above.) To undo an improper registration simply unsubscribe from the game (the unsubscribe link is in every email we send you) and re-register with the correct information including your NEW Albertsons card number (which, may be the same as your old number, but is not associated with the NEW points program until you get a NEW card). NEW cards can be obtained FREE of charge at any participating Albertsons location. Note: You cannot re-register and play the game on the same day.

Where do I get a NEW Albertsons Preferred Rewards Card?

Within 7 days of claiming a winning "Bingo" your NEW Preferred Rewards card will be credited with 25,000 Preferred Rewards Points. When you present your Preferred Rewards Card at the check-stand of any participating Albertsons location, the point-of-sale system will issue 5 (five) reward vouchers worth $5.00. No cash value. Also, all players who register by 11:59PM on Thursday 9/15 are entered into a Grand Prize Drawing that will take place on or about 9/30 for FREE Groceries for a Year (paid as 52, $100 Gift Cards).

Can I turn the Preferred Rewards Points I win into cash?

If they are not credited after 7 days, please use the Contact Tab at this website to explain your situation. An Albertsons Customer Service Representative will contact you within 48 hours.

When is the game played?
Players can start registering to play as early as Friday 8/5/2011. Starting on Monday 8/8/2011 animated "bingo balls" are dropped everyday of the Promotional Period (29 days in all) during programming on San Diego Univision at 6:30AM. A schedule for the Albertsons Preferred Rewards Bingo Sweepstakes appears in the table below:

TV Schedule

Although Channel 17 San Diego Univision will strive to run the game precisely at 6:30 AM PT, the games may air up to 15 minutes earlier or later than the scheduled times.

Card codes are not accepted before 6:15AM PT. And, codes must be entered by 11:59 PM PT to claim a win.

The Bingo balls that appear on television will also appear on the web page with your Bingo cards after 6:45AM PT.

I missed the Bingo balls on television, can I see them someplace else?
Yes. The daily Bingo balls are displayed on your daily Bingo card after the balls are displayed on television. So, if you miss the balls on TV, you can simply open your Bingo card email, see the balls and play the game.

The Bingo balls on television don't match the Bingo balls on the website!
The official Bingo balls for any given daily game are displayed on the website. Every effort is made to ensure that the correct balls air on television, but the balls on the website are the only balls that count toward the game.

I'm not receiving email from you!
Most of the time this means that the email we're sending you is stuck in your spam folder. This is particularly true if you use Yahoo! or AOL as your email service provider. You may also have accidentally deleted our email. You can search for email from us using "key words" such as "Albertsons" and "Bingo."

To prevent our emails from getting stuck in your spam folder please add Preferred_Bingo@TVScratchGames.com to your contact list / address book.

Your email went to my spam folder. How do I prevent that?
The best way to prevent our emails from getting stuck in your spam folder is to add our email address, Preferred_Bingo@TVScratchGames.com, to your contact list/address book.

I'm always so close to winning! Is the game fixed?
While this game may look and feel like a real game of bingo, it is not. The mechanics of the game are more analogous to popular lottery scratch-off games. That is to say, the number of winners for each daily game is carefully predetermined. The daily winners are issued bingo cards that will score a bingo with the animated bingo balls displayed at 6:30AM PT for that day. To make the game extra exciting (though we know some of you might say frustrating) the losing cards we issue are always pretty close to being winning cards. So, while we think "fixed" is, perhaps, a harsh way to describe how the game works, the game is, like most lotteries and sweepstakes, engineered to deliver: 1) a specific number of winners; and, 2) a losing experience that is tantalizingly close to winning.

Why can't I register and play on the same day?
Players joining the game on any given day of the promotion period will not receive a bingo card email from us until the morning of the next day. We don't allow players to join the game and play on the same day because the Official Rules demand that the player pool used to determine the odds of winning a given daily game is closed at 11:59PM PT the day before a given daily game. As an example, a player joining on Monday (even on Monday morning) will not receive bingo cards via email until Tuesday morning for the game to be held at 6:30 AM PT on Tuesday morning.

What is a Bingo?
In this game, a "Bingo" occurs when the animated balls dropped during the bingo game aired on television cause the player to "mark" 5 boxes forming a complete vertical, horizontal, or diagonal row. A box is considered to be "marked" if the number in the box on the player's card matches one of the 7 animated bingo balls dropped.

Example of Bingo

Player Tip: The Bingo balls that appear on Univision will also appear on the web page with your Bingo cards after 6:45AM PT.

What is the "Free" space on my bingo cards?
You get to count the "Free" space as a "marked box" and, as such, you can use it in conjunction with 4 other "marked boxes" to make either a vertical, horizontal, or diagonal Bingo. A box is considered to be "marked" if the number in the box matches one of the 7 animated Bingo balls dropped/displayed during the game.

I won! What do I do?
If you believe you have a winning card, come to this site, and click "I Think I Won!" before 11:59 PM PT on the day the game was played and input the 10-character card code at the bottom of your Bingo card. If you enter the code after 11:59 PM PT, the win will be deemed invalid. No exceptions. If the code is valid, the game provider, Life Carrot, Inc. will confirm your win and within 7 days your NEW Albertsons Preferred Rewards Card will be credited with 25,000 Preferred Rewards Points. When you present your Preferred Rewards Card at the check-stand of any participating Albertsons location, the point-of-sale system will issue 5 (five) reward vouchers worth $5.00. No cash value. No cash back. POINTS CAN ONLY BE REDEEMED FOR GROCERIES.

When is the deadline to input my winning card code?
Winning card codes MUST be entered by 11:59 PM PT on the day the game was played. If you enter the code after 11:59 PM PT, the win will be deemed invalid. No exceptions. To enter a code, come to this site, and click on the "I think I Won!" tab and follow the directions.

The site won't accept my card code!
It's easy to mistype a 10-character code. Please try entering it again. It sometimes helps to access this site through the link in your daily bingo card email.

Player Tip: The I Think I Won! links on your Bingo cards will automatically enter your 10-digit code. This is the best way to enter your code.

If you do agree to receive emails from Albertsons above and beyond the emails associated with the Preferred Rewards Bingo Game, you are subject to the Privacy Policy posted at http://www.albertsons.com/about/security-privacy.jsp.

Can I win more than once?
Absolutely. Every daily game is a new game. The fact that you may have won before does not count against you, or for you. It's a clean slate. For any given daily game, it's even possible for both of the cards you receive to each be winners. If you're lucky enough to have that happen enter each code separately under the I Think I Won! tab.

What are the odds of winning?
The odds of winning depend on the number of active players and the number of winning cards distributed for a given daily game. The number of winning cards distributed for a given day is posted on the home page of this game site. The number of winning cards can vary from twenty to many more. Likewise, the number of active players is posted and updated at or about midnight everyday.

Why do the number of winning cards vary?
The number of winning cards distributed for a given day is posted on the home page of this game site. You may notice that it can vary from game to game. The sponsors are committed to offering a minimum of 20 (twenty), 25,000-point prizes per day. But, some daily prizes may go unclaimed. For example, a winning player for a given game may not have input his or her winning card code before the 11:59 PM PT deadline. If there are many unclaimed prizes during the course of the promotion, the sponsor can increase the number of winning cards distributed in an effort to make sure more prizes are claimed.

Many people living in our area are not U.S. citizens or residents, why can't they play?

(the game provider) are geared to comply with the tax laws of the United States, but not the tax laws of foreign countries. We're sorry about this limitation, but it is operationally necessary.
